Resistable Embellishments - Technique Tuesday!

Happy Tuesday!

Today I have created a card using resist-able chipboard hearts by Pink Paislee. They have a resist pattern on them so when you ink/spray them the pattern will resist the colour.

These are the hearts I used:

I inked the first heart with Rangers Distress Marker in Barn Door. Once you ink the whole piece, take a damp paper towel and wipe off the ink from the resist to produce the pattern.

I used Dylusions spray in Bubblegum pink for the next heart.

I decided the pink was too bright for this card so I took another heart and inked it with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. I sprayed both hearts with Perfect Pearls Pearl Mist for a little bit of sparkle.

I changed my mind again and felt I needed solid hearts for this card, so I took another heart and coloured it this time with the Distress Stain in Barn Door (there was too much surface area to colour with the Distress Marker, it was easier with the stain!).

I used the Fiskars Notebook Border Punch to cut the side of the cardstock and stuck all the other pieces onto the card and stamped "love you".

If you haven't tried the resist paper/chipboard before, give it a go, it's fun! And of course you can always create your own resist pieces with Versmark ink and embossing powder....that will be another Technique Tuesday in the future!

Thanks for stopping by - have a wonderful week.
