Scrappin' in a Flash

Don't forget to record those Precious Moments;  It really can be Fast, Simple, Quick and Easy!

The Big Boys have birthdays too and many other milestones to be recorded.  The idea behind the quick and easy scrapbooking is to make sure that we don't forget to record all of life's mention-able moments.  It may not seem important now but someday you'll look back at all your pictures and wonder why you never took notes or recorded the memory before it became cloudy.

There was a time when everybody put pictures in a pocket album (all the pictures......good or bad) and these are quite frankly a little boring to look at.    Some people were diligent and wrote the information on the back of the pictures, but you have to pull the picture out to read the information.

Scrapbooking has now been made easy.  We have pockets to put those pictures in, but we also have pockets for the journaling cards and embellishments.  There are ready made cards with lots of prompts to make sure that we remember to record everything.

This can be simple.  Here's a simple journaling card and a picture that can just slide into the pocket but the picture covers up the words on the card.  It's OK to leave this the way it is but in less than a minute and with a good pair of scissors or an craft knife I can add just a little detail that goes a long way.

Here are the same picture and card, but now I've just partially cut around the words 'SNAP SHOTS' and I can tuck the picture underneath.

Here are the same picture and card again, but this time I just slightly curled the edge of the saying and the picture has just a bit more impact.  With most papers now being double sided, the edge looks quite nice curled out.

I want this to be quick and simple so I also want to be able to add pictures to the backs of all my pages but now I've gone and cut through the paper and I have a picture sticking through the back.

BUT,

All these kits and paper packs now come with matching embellishments as well so......just a couple of stickers and one picture later and my back is done as well.

Here side by side are my  front and back pages before pictures and journaling.  I like to use my printer and computer for journaling and adding bits of handwriting for prosperity.  I want my grandchildren to see  my handwriting in the future.

NOTE; that the rulers on the backside appear to be upside down.  Some of these are right side up but the major one that  you see looks upside down so you  have to be sure to check the direction of your pattern on the backside of your patterned paper.

Another simple trick is to use the pattern in your paper as an embellishment.  On the front page, I cut out the rulers as an embellishment.

Here is the completed page, both front and back.  Adding pictures is one thing, but don't forget to add some journaling and with just a few added quick design elements, you have yourself a real Scrapbook Page.

Most of us are either Scrapbookers or Cardmakers but now we have a way to justify all of our tools and products by making sure that no occasion goes unrecorded.  We take more pictures than we ever have and these pictures get better and better so let's CELEBRATE the MOMENTS!

Happy Scrappin' Everyone,

Nicely done, love how versatile these are. Such a nice way to do scrapbooking. And double sided too. How clever is that ?!
